This week things get serious, with the semis next week many sides have ground to make up, whereas others really need to win to regain their top places and the dream of playing in the Premier Division next season.

John Hayes’s boys enjoyed a bye last week, which will put them in the best position for a home semi and maybe a final! A win is all they need against a form seeking Droee Wors team, making them the favourite team to win the First Division.
Losing will still give them a home semi, but they might have to travel to Bloedrivier for the final if the Red Bull Cruisers manage to overcome the Freestate Rumblers.

This is set to be a titanic class between two very powerful forward packs! All things point toward a fairly low scoring game here with a test match atmosphere. The Cruiser will be boosted by the chance of a home semi and final. Winning this game with 4 tries and the Destroyers loosing with no bonus points can maybe secure a home final on Bloedrivier. If they lose, they must do it with a bonus point if they still want to play in the semis.
The Rumblers will really be pumped up for a win as they HAVE to if they want to make the semis. Even better if they do it with a bonus point will be enough motivation to play their hearts out!

The Pink Ducks v Vikings

The resurgence of the Vikings could not have come at a better time. They are still in contention for home semi but will need a five pointer to accelerate themselves! What better way than against a struggling Pink Duck outfit that are really down and out. The Ducks only have pride to play for.

Prediction: Vikings by 19

Table Bay Tsunamis v Bellville Gunners

With the Tsunamis on a high from last week’s victory over the Ducks and playing bottom of the log Gunners, they must fancy a bonus point win and a place in the semis.
Prediction: Tsunamis by 15

Both the Tsunami and Vikings won’t have any spectator value. All eyes will be on the Red Bull v Rumblers clash. The outcome could mean home semis or even no semi.
