StormDogs will bid for an unprecedented 2 in a row of titles in the Who’s Your Daddy Cup which gets under way on Thursday.

The MonsterHOND-managed team – boosted by a large expatriate support base – have triumphed in their last outing, but face a lack of confidence after losing in the Semi Final of the BB Cup.

“We are desperate to make sure we do everything we possibly can to make it two titles in a row,” said Hardus.

“We’ve got an excellent record, better than any other team in the BB Cup, and now we need to use that to our advantage. We want to retain our trophy and the lads just love playing the WYD Cup.”

A 20-team competition will contest the Cup, Plate, Bowl and Woody with the Oos Paviljoene, Lukes Skywalkers, Fetchers, Destroyers, WP Barbarians, Table Bay Tsunami, StormDogs and SAIL Super Squad missing the first round due to BB Cup finals and play offs.

The format of the WYD Cup makes the competition between the current 20 core teams more intense than ever. With no ‘easy’ match-ups every game is a potential knock-out tie.
